Zadar is established on a 4 km long and 500 m wide peninsula, on the coast. It is a big city of 73 000 inhabitants, less than 60 km from Drage. It offers supermarkets, a nice port, an old pedestrian center, and some monuments to visit. As all the Croatian medieval cities, its pedestrian downtown, with its Dalmatian marble floor, will give you the curious impression of walking on the aisles of a castle (watch for the slithering…).

Regarding culture, the first book to be written in Croatian language was probably written in Zadar. By the way, the city hosts the oldest university of Croatia.

A city of exceptional 3000-years old history and extremely valuable cultural heritage, Zadar will always offer something new and original.

The city of  Zadar is situated in the heart of the Adriatic, and it is not just an urban centre of northern Dalmatia but with its administrative, economic, cultural and political importance it constitutes the centre of the region with 92.000 inhabitants. Combining the beauties of the past and preferences of modern-day tourism, it offers numerous tourist attractions: if you are looking for an ideal accommodation, autochthon gourmet delicacies, cultural monuments, modern-day sports facilities or various excursion programs, you have found a perfect destination for leisure, sports and fun.

The Zadar region area is the largest and most well-known Croatian historical region. It covers the south of Croatia and is therefore an area of sun, warm sea, olives, wine, fish, song, picturesque localities with stone houses, in one word, the real and original Mediterranean.

The historical center of Dalmatia, Zadar, is situated in the region, the islands of Pag, Dugi otok, Ugljan, Pašman and many smaller islands and real tourist destinations for all travel lovers. What is more is that the Zadar region has more inhabited islands than all the tourist regions in Croatia and we believe that in the numerous destinations you will be able to find your vacation choice.
